Benchmarking of Economic Framework Conditions at Company Level

A company's own assessment of a given location often contradicts the results of external analyses of competitiveness. Whereas the latter are based on scientific methods yielding intersubjectively reproducible results, the former reflects the subjective view of the enterprise. For the purposes of economic policy, both methods may be used as valuable sources of complementary information: while external analyses of competitiveness serve to determine the "hard facts", internal studies are a targeted way of identifying locational deficits.
