Eine Auswertung von Mikrodaten (The Productivity Growth of Austrian Companies from 2013 to 2020. An Analysis of Micro Data)

The Productivity Growth of Austrian Companies from 2013 to 2020. An Analysis of Micro Data
This article first provides an overview of the development of labour and multifactor productivity in Austria in an international
comparison and then analyses selected indicators of productivity development based on micro-aggregated firm-level data for
Austria. The latter show pronounced structural differences in terms of sector affiliation, size and relative position of companies
in the productivity distribution. There are economies of scale in all sectors examined. However, these have only increased
during the period under review in non-financial market services, where, in contrast to the manufacture of goods, there is
also a trend towards the expansion of existing productivity advantages.
