Current research studies (work in progress)
Commissioned by: Insolvenz-Entgelt-Fonds Service GmbH
Study by: Austrian Institute of Economic Research
The research project examines the extent to which the economic distortions caused by the COVID-19 crisis will affect the insolvency risk (i.e., more insolvencies and higher insolvency volumes) and, as a result, will increase the utilisation of the Insolvency Remuneration Fund. Of particular interest are the expected cases and volumes of disbursements the Fund will face. For a quantitative estimation of these target figures, a multi-level approach is chosen in the research project. Stage I elaborates on the data generation and compilation of relevant factors concerning the insolvency risk. Based on this, an analytical framework (Stage II.A) is defined and a scenario assessment of the effects (Stage II.B) is provided.
Lower Austria Tomorrow (Niederösterreich Morgen)
Current research studies (work in progress)
Study by: Austrian Institute of Economic Research
Commissioned by: Raiffeisen-Holding Niederösterreich–Wien
We investigate which changes people in the Lower Austrian regions are currently experiencing in the areas of life, work, housing and mobility, how they are actually feeling today and what they expect for the future. In addition to the subjective aspects of the quality of life collected through a survey, objective indicators appropriate to the subject areas are also included in the study and jointly analysed. In addition to the topic "youth", particular attention is paid to regional differences between the desires of Lower Austrians for the future, for example between urban and rural regions or, which is particularly relevant in Lower Austria, between the surrounding regions of Vienna and other sub-regions.
