Since 2006, Ina Meyer is Senior Economist at WIFO in the Research Group "Environment, Agriculture and Energy" working on the
topics of mitigation of climate change, adaptation to climate change and sustainable development. Her main research interests
lie in energy-economic impact analyses of a sustainable resource and energy transition considering interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary
research approaches. She is a project partner in the preparation of the Austrian energy scenarios under the lead of the Federal
Environment Agency and prepares studies commissioned by the Federal Ministry of Sustainability and Tourism, the Federal Ministry
of Economics or the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River. Her research projects are funded by the
Anniversary Fund of the Oesterreichische Nationalbank, the Austrian Academy of Sciences and the Austrian Climate and Energy
Fund. Ina Meyer was a board member of the Climate Change Centre Austria (March 2019 to April 2020). After her studies in Economics
at the Freie Universität Berlin she spent a scholarship at the European Commission (DG ECFIN) and was a research assistant
at the Technical University Berlin and at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. She received her doctorate at
the University of Potsdam and spent a research stay at the University of Greifswald.
