WWWforEurope Lecture Series: Financing the Future Welfare State

Dennis Meadows, co-author of the pioneering 1972 Club of Rome report "The Limits to Growth" is coming to WIFO and, as part of the WWWforEurope Lecture Series, will give a talk on the systemic challenges faced by the current welfare state model. Starting out by depicting today's worrisome trends that, if continued, could well lead into bankruptcy of the social security system, he will pose the question: "Are there ways so that a society could take care of its aged without assuming ever-growing expenditures for that purpose?"
