In den kommenden Jahrzehnten wird sich die Zahl an Älteren in Österreich sowohl absolut als auch relativ zu jüngeren Personen
stark erhöhen. Dies hat zur Folge, dass die Nachfrage nach professioneller Pflege stark zunehmen wird. Die Studie quantifiziert
die zu erwartende Nachfrage bis 2050. Dargestellt werden der künftig zu erwartende Pflegegeldaufwand, die öffentlichen Aufwände
für Pflegedienstleistungen, die Entwicklung der Anzahl der pflegegeldbeziehenden Personen sowie der Bedarf an formellen Pflegekräften.

Projections of Long-term Care Costs and Long-term Care Personnel
Over the coming decades, the number of older persons in Austria will increase sharply, both in absolute terms and relative
to younger persons. As a result, the demand for professional care will rise sharply. The study quantifies the expected demand
up to 2050. It presents the expected future expenditure on long-term care benefits, the public expenditure on long-term care
services, the development of the number of people receiving long-term care benefits and the demand for formal long-term care
workers.
