WIFO-Konjunkturtest

The WIFO-Konjunkturtest (business cycle survey) is a monthly survey of Austrian companies on their economic situation and its development in the coming months. The results of the WIFO-Konjunkturtest help to reliably assess the economic development in Austria at an early stage. The WIFO-Konjunkturtest has been conducted since 1954 and has been part of the "Joint Harmonised EU Programme of Business and Consumer Surveys" since 1996.

Konjunktur verliert weiter an Dynamik. Ergebnisse des WIFO-Konjunkturtests vom Juni 2022 (Economy Continues to Lose Momentum. Results of the WIFO-Konjunkturtest (Business Cycle Survey) of June 2022)
WIFO Business Cycle Survey, 2022, (6), 13 pages
Commissioned by: European Commission
Online since: 29.06.2022 14:00

Economy Continues to Lose Momentum. Results of the WIFO-Konjunkturtest (Business Cycle Survey) of June 2022
The results of the WIFO-Konjunkturtest (business cycle survey) show a slight decline in economic momentum in June. At 16.8 points (seasonally adjusted), the WIFO Business Climate Index was 2.6 points below the value of the previous month (19.4 points). The results show a weakening in the situation assessments, which, however, continue to indicate a good economic environment. As a result of high business uncertainty and rising input prices, however, economic expectations lost further momentum. The majority of companies still expect to have to raise prices in the coming months.
