What Can be Deduced from the Age Structure of Workforces for Future Labour Demand?

An Age Structure Analysis of Austrian Companies (Module 2)

This study examines the process of change in the age composition of the employed workforce in Austria over time as well as specific characteristics of the age structure of the workforce at the company level. From this mix of perspectives, indications of the focal points in the age composition of company workforces are presented, conspicuous features are indicated, and it is derived in a forward-looking manner where, due to the current age structure of employment, potential need for action will arise with regard to labour demand in the coming years.
