Reduction of Non-wage Labour Costs and Financing Options. Current Findings and International Case Studies

Non-wage labour costs and total labour costs affect the employment demand and represent a significant cost factor in the production of goods and services. This report summarises the most important findings on the effects of reductions in non-wage labour costs and their financing options from the literature and examines reform examples in a selection of European countries. These analyses are embedded in an overview of the structure and level of labour costs as well as the basic features of the social system in these countries.
