Manufacturing Firms Forecast a Strong Increase in Investment in 2011, Slight Increase in Construction. Results of the WIFO Autumn 2010 Investment Survey

According to the results of WIFO's Autumn 2010 Investment Survey, investment in manufacturing expressed in current prices will increase by 21.9 percent in 2011. The highest growth is expected for automotive and investment goods. Investment recovery varies by firm size: while large firms expect to invest considerably, there is no growth among small firms. The construction industry will increase its investment by 6.5 percent.
