From the End of Word War II to the Austrian State Treaty

Ten years after the end of World War II, Austria was returned to full independence through its State Treaty of 1955. During this period, the damage caused by the war and its immediate aftermath was repaired, and a new economic structure as well as growth-promoting institutions were set up. The post-war inflation was stopped and a steady regime of internal and external financial stability established.
