Labour Market Monitor 2015. A Europe-wide Labour Market Monitoring System Updated Annually

Placing job-seekers to job vacancies and counseling provided by the Public Employment Service (PES) are complex processes. They cover a broad variety of activities designed to influence the job search strategies and employability of the unemployed. This project sheds light on the impact of several important rules or measures on transitions into employment and out of the labour force. These include length and level of unemployment benefits as well as several aspects of the job placement process that are associated with pressure to take up a job or to participate in a labour market program, namely placement offers, program assignments, and benefit sanctions.
