A model of sickness absenteeism

The goal of the theoretical model of sickness absence which will be created in this project, is to give an overview of the main causal determinants of sickness absence and their interdependencies. The causal relationships are derived from consolidated research results or need to be formulated on the basis of hypotheses. In a second step the project gives an overview of the data available in Austria to measure and monitor the causal factors which impact sickness absences and can thus represent a suitable basis for intervention and evaluation.
