Priv.-Doz. Mag. Dr. Serguei Kaniovski

Serguei Kaniovski is Senior Economist at WIFO and has been working in the Research Group "Macroeconomics and Public Finance" since 2001. He holds a doctoral degree in Economic Theory and Operations Research of the University of Vienna and a habilitation in Economics of the University of Innsbruck. His research focusses on mathematical economics, macroeconomic modelling and empirical macroeconomics, including the development of macroeconomic models for medium-term and long-term forecasting and policy analysis. His further research interests include decision theory and public choice. Serguei Kaniovski has published in scientific journals in the fields of macroeconomics, industrial and environmental economics, decision theory and public choice. He is co-editor of Theory and Decision, an academic journal dedicated to the field of decision theory.
