WIFO Publishes Annual Report 2023
Video: Economic Research for Tomorrow
The latest Annual Report of the Austrian Institute of Economic Research was published on 7 March 2024 and is now also available in digital form. "Times are turbulent: war in and next to Europe, political risks, record inflation. Austria is in recession and increasingly caught up in the pre-election campaign. Against this backdrop, our fact-based analyses are more important than ever", said WIFO Director Gabriel Felbermayr.
Under the motto "Economic research for tomorrow", we are also shining the spotlight on our young researchers in this report. Because only if we as an institute continue to attract the best minds can we successfully realise our strategic goals.
"Inflation, recession and competitivness – the year 2023 was again characterised by enormous challenges. The Austrian Institute of Economic Research not only analysed the complex situation, but also provided a steady stream of innovative solutions with its research", stated the Institute's Presidium, consisting of Harald Mahrer, Renate Anderl and Ingrid Kubin, in a joint foreword.
