Future Impulses for WIFO

International Board Meeting 2019
The second WIFO International Board Meeting took place in Vienna from 15 to 16 May 2019. The aim of the International Board is to advise WIFO and its management on strategic issues and in the scientific discussion. The Board members are high-level experts from the fields of economics and other social sciences with outstanding expertise in empirical research on topics relevant to economic policy.

The constant incorporation of international perspectives is a central element in WIFO's strategic orientation. As part of a sustained intensification of this exchange, an annual meeting of the International Board was established in 2018. At this year's meeting, the Board again discussed current research activities, current topics and future challenges. In addition, the participants focused on future networking and cooperation opportunities.
