Asjad Naqvi is economist and has been working in WIFO's Research Group "Environment, Agriculture and Energy" since June 2022.
His research focuses on climate change, economic growth and inequality, and their interrelationships in the form of trade,
migration and financial flows. In his research, he uses a mix of macroeconomic models, agent-based models, and causal inference
designs. Asjad Naqvi completed his PhD in Economics at the New School for Social Research in New York (2012) and received
his Habilitation in Economics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) in 2020. He is affiliated with the Vienna
University of Economics and Business (WU), the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), and the World
Bank.
