Report on the competitiveness of Vienna 2015

Our analysis of harmonised data on european city regions concentrates on those dimensions of regional competitiveness that can be influenced by regional economic policy. Statistical basis of our work is a new database on (255) EU metropolitan regions in a funcional delineation that goes well beyond the EU metro database launched recently. The results are introduced into a SWOT analysis for the metro region Vienna, which in the end provides the basis for economic policy implications.
