Impact of the 2030 framework for climate and energy policies on the competitiveness of European Industry (CR 2014)

The EU has set ambitious targets for 2020 to reduce emissions and raise the share of renewable energy. The study addresses the impacts of EU climate change and energy policies on European industry. It quantifies the direct impacts on industry (e.g., due to mandatory requirements) and indirect impacts on the business environment (i.e., risks and opportunities for businesses) at the sector level and under different scenarios. The project is part of the WIFO-led Framework Contract "Studies in the Areas of European Competitiveness". It is conducted in cooperation with ZEW.
