Determinants of labour productivity and job creation in Europe

The determinants of productivity and labour demand are estimated using a new and unique data set, the so-called micro moments database (MMD). The data set consists of linked structural business data, ICT and e-commerce survey data and the community innovation survey for 12 European countries (including Austria for the period 2000-2010). The data is available in disaggregated form (company size, industry groups, age and group of high-growth firms, etc.) at Eurostat safe centre. Particular emphasis is placed on the role of ICT applications such as e-business systems, broadband Internet, e-commerce activities and innovation activities in general). The determinants of labour demand are also estimated for different occupational groups.
