WIFO's Economic Historian with a Broad Research Agenda – Felix Butschek on his 90th Birthday

Felix Butschek was employed at WIFO between 1962 and 1997, initially as a staff member for social policy and regional issues, and later also as Deputy Director of the Institute. His very broad research agendas and his lively, timely and quite controversial contributions to the discussions had a strong influence on the institute and its staff. Over time, he devoted himself more and more to economic-historical topics and issues.
