The Economic Impact of Thermal Spa Tourism in Austria at District Level
Additional Study for the AVITA Resort Bad Tatzmannsdorf
This study is dedicated to the economic significance of the AVITA resort at district, provincial and federal level. According to a model estimate by WIFO, the spa business generated direct, indirect and induced value-added effects in Austria in 2019 of 29.8 million € and an employment level of around 430 employees (on the basis of full-time equivalents). For the Oberwart region, the thermal spa business generated a total value added of 15.3 million € and 235 full-time jobs (direct, indirect and induced).
