Intensive Course Regional CGE Modelling
From 26 to 30 September at WIFO
The Centre of Policy Studies (CoPS) and WIFO offer an intensive one-week course introducing participants to the equations and data structure of TERM (a multiregional CGE model of a single country) and providing them with extensive hands-on experience with GEMPACK, the software used to solve CGE models.
Course dates: 26 to 30 September 2022, full day
The course should appeal to people who wish to acquire the following skills and knowledge:
-
the ability to work with a regional CGE model like TERM and understand results derived from modelling exercises,
-
an understanding of the micro- and macroeconomic theory behind TERM and the TERM database construction methodology for a chosen country,
-
the ability to analyse relevant policy issues in the context of a formal economy-wide system.
