Poverty-Proof Welfare State

The contribution to the Social Report 2024 defines the goals and institutional elements of a poverty-proof welfare state: in addition to living wage labour, public benefits in-kind and the infrastructure in the education and care sector are presented as central pillars of a poverty-proof welfare state. In addition, monetary transfers continue to play a central role in poverty prevention.
