Absence from Work Report 2014. Absences Due to Sickness and Accidents in Austria

This report provides an overview of absences from work due to illness and accidents in Austria. In 2013 we observe a slight increase of sickness absences with respect to 2012, partly because of an intense flu epidemic at the beginning of the year. On average, employees spent 13 calender days on sick leave during the course of the year, this corresponds to a sickness absence rate of 3.5 percent.
