The quantitative analysis of possible energy demand and supply scenarios for Austria during the time span of 2010 to 2050 is based on 2 to 3 well formulated storylines on global energy markets, international production networks and the societies. The issues considered by exogenous changes in the model are: economic variables (prices, income, structure of exports), structural change in manufacturing, changes in preferences and lifestyles of private households, technical change in energy supply, and change in energy efficiency in energy consumption (vehicles fleet, alternative drives, heating and electrical appliances). WIFO applied its DYNK-Modell (Dynamic New-Keynesian) for this analysis.
