Präsentation Zielnetz 2025+. Wirtschaftlichkeit und Finanzierung

With its Target Network 2025+, the Austrian Railways have presented a strategically consistent programme of measures for the future railway infrastructure. Financing of these measures and, in particular, of its major projects carries many opportunities and risks, where the risk of low demand posed by some of the projects may threaten the profitability of the overall system. Implementing the Target Network 2025+ comes with a substantial long-term growth of obligations for the national household; considering the ever growing budget restrictions it therefore needs to be asked which priorities are to be chosen for future investments.
